Post by Guest Wed Dec 14, 2011 9:45 pm

    HI
Thanks for the replies on the shift problem. Next question does the stick shift have bushings where it inserts into the
shift tube? If so are they available?
    Thanks Rally72

1st pic is of what is called the "insulator" they are available from Carpenters, Mac's, Classic Fords, Falcons.About $6 bucks.
The next pic is of the shift arm rubber bushings and the white nylon bushing inserts that connect your shift arms to the shift rods.
The only other bushing you may be asking about is the OEM plastic shift bushing in the aluminum mounting bracket with the neutral alignment hole in it. They seize and cause nothing but trouble, and so I make a bronze bushing update for it. Also, check the upper support they are not uncommon to be broken. Update to a GENII one if you can locate a manual transmission one????????
