Engine Identification

Trying to figure out what L 6 engine is in my 66.

So far I haven't been able to find the right chart.

Wideload that casting number is a 1966-1979. 250 CID/ 4.1 l6 without integral intake manifold, the head casting number should be 3895052.

The F letter number combo you found on the distributor pad tells where the block was cast and what compression ratio and accessories that came with that motor. I do not have a breakdown of that however.

Thanks Whopman !!! There's been so much work done to the 66 by previous owners I wasn't expecting it to be the original engine but with your info it could be. I'll look for the numbers on the head tomorrow.
