Hi, Just wanted to introduce my self. I have been on the hunt for a decent van for a little bit. I've had a few old Vans and trucks before and felt a void. I scored a 65 Travel Wagon with a 240 auto combo.I'm excited as hell. Going to be hitting you folks up for a ton of advice.

Very nice! Welcome! Do I see a tint treatment at the top of the windshield? My 65 Shambulance has the 240 / C4 automatic combo too... it's a great combo with lots of power! Very driveable! Congrats!

I would love to show the top up. But the hinges are stupid plastic on the sides. And tore with all the demos the first day! Hopefully my weekend will be lowes and a rivet gun. I used to have a 240ed van with a three on the tree. It was good. So much better then the small six. Mine is tired and crazy smokey. Going to get a 300 sooner then later.

My plans are to just get it to good driver status. I love the way old paint looks buffed. It is all original paint besides one side door.So it will stay. Really want to get 2.5 inch drop axle and flip the rear axle. I like how the e vans have a foward rake and think it makes them pop when dropped. Been searching for pic of how much I should notch the frame. I'm still on the fence about what wheels. Put 62 plymouth caps on it to cover the white spokes for now. But it will get something old school and no bigger then 15. Probably slots till drop the front. Work through the tight wheel well problems before I actually spend money.

A travel wagon with falcon trim. Interesting...

Do you have the travel wagon log/emblem/trim piece on the outside of the front door or does it look like it was ever there?

    Welcome fellow Twagen owner!

You can see the badge in the second picture. It is missing off the other door but the holes are there. It's gutted inside,so all I really get is a pop top that needs every hinge.

if you need any pictures of anything, let me know. if you figure out a decent replacement for the plastic hinges, LET ME KNOW...mine still works but only working on about 1/2 of the hinges.
