Been going through my 67 8 door and have noticed some interesting things. I also have a 66 panel and a 69 window. My van has a 318/ auto in it. First thing is it has the Stromberg ww carb but the earlier throttle linkage like the 66. Has the later model front doors and they are the original door that came with the van. I have noticed some 67s with the dash crash pad but mine doesn't have it and has never had one. Early style heater controls, and has power steering but must be an add on. My van is serial # 2126905 so is a later production 67.

Re: 67 transition year?
The 67 we had for parts didn't have a dash pad either and the heater controls were the same as that of my 65. It had a 273 w/ a Carter BBD in it as well. The 273 is equally weird as it was made 12-1-65 and the heads have a 68+ 273/318 casting number. It is sure is interesting to find variances like within the same year.

Re: 67 transition year?
Is your ignition key on the right or left? Mine is on the left. Division I'm just south of you in Twin Falls. I have a couple of parts vans if you are looking for anything. Don

Its cool to see local a local guy Pitts. we should do a van rally some day. My key is on the right side of the steering wheel. My 69 was on the left side.

Re: 67 transition year?
Thats how my '64 pickup is, Key on the right. My heater controls are also set up like yours Devision. I see some in a triangle pattern, some straight across like ours and some with the 3rd below the upper right one. Guess they couldnt make up their mind on where/how to configure everything huh?
