Yeah it's not bad. Didn't know what I'd find under all that paint. Got a solid driver's door off of an Oregon van to put on it and the rest should be pretty routine. The window sills, roof, rails and floor are very solid. I've dug out the body work done by the POs. Some of it was glass and the dents were filled with plastic instead of pulling em out. I got 2 cargo doors also from Oregon and not a spec of repair work or cancer on those either.
You guys might know this van. It was Guzzidude's then Sonnygable bought it, and then I got it off of Donn. Been around the board a few times so it's time for a total resto. Motor, Tranny, and, rearend as good as new now. That's what took so long to get to the body.

Thanks Carl.
Hey Jim, I've changed the color in my head so many times now. The final choice is the HHR aqua blue metallic with ford white suede roof.

Hey I know that van...snicker...snicker...last time I saw it , it had tandem wheels and maybe even a cat track under the back...jk..It;'s going to look damn sharp when you get R done. Hope I didn't offend you when I photo shopped yor van Carl. I for one like 'm just the way you are doing it.

Isn't my van Big W! It belongs to Stunami, and I like the way he's doing it too.

Re: Finally got some pics of my project.
speaking of the wheels, can you list the wheel sizes, tire sizes, and (more importantly) the backspacing of the wheels? do the tires rub at all?

Re: Finally got some pics of my project.
Hey Carl,
It is a 74 and don't know what the top is, good eye.
Gh0st, those wheels are not staying, they are 205.70.14. I'm putting 205.60.15 on front with +6 offset 4.25 backspacing, those won't rub. On the back, I'm putting 255.60.15 0 offset and 4.5 backspace. If those rub, I'll block the springs or put air shocks on.

Re: Finally got some pics of my project.
Thanks Chris. A little late for Baker's but I'll have time to do the interior before next year . Overall, my van will have maybe 1/3 gallon of bondo max. Most of that will be skim coat. Very happy with what I didn't find under all that old paint, not bad for an Ohio van originally.
