    I had an Audi A4, 1999. Same set of problems. You fix one thing and another goes out. That flow chart had a few too many arrows pointing toward the buy the Passat block. There needed to be a decision block asking if the prospective buyer has access to/owns the specialized software necessary to find out what is even wrong with the car in the first place.
    They do ride nice though, and my father in-law's Passat W8 (IN Germany) does all of the 155MPH speed limiter capability pretty easily. Get rid of all the electrical problems and they are decent cars to own.
