In another thread I am looking at buying a 66 G10 and on closer inspection, I found out that the Chevy six has a hole burnt in a piston. The seller has the head off and showed me where the piston has a hole in it and a hole in the intake gasket.
Is this a big deal, or can I just drop the pan, push the piston out through the top and replace with a new one? Or should I pull the engine and do everything right? Is there anything else to look for that might have been damaged if the piston is damaged?
Thanks, you guys are very helpful!
