I just traded my bug for an a108. I love it, but I am not able to shift out of 3rd. I have heard that a lot of dodge parts around that time are interchangable. What other models could I pull a shifter (and attached mechanisms and bushings) from. How much can I anticipate spending on parts and installation

Re: 67 A108 shifter
Welcome!
The vans are unique on the shift linkage. Only another A will have parts that work.
Take a look around, the shifting issue has been covered.
Mainly, you want to clean and lubricate all fittings. Check for wear and try to get any worn areas a bit more snug.
Adjust the linkage. This is covered in the service manual (there is a copy here in pdf) and in these you tube videos

Make sure the clutch is adjusted properly too.
Any pictures of the new van? We are visual creatures!

AhhhKKK! The horror!
Sorry, but I've been hammering out butt dents on my roof for hours!
You have no idea how hard it is to get that stuff straightened back out.
Nice looking nose.

Re: 67 A108 shifter
Can you tell me what that bushing is called, the one that you can see through the nose, or give me a part number. I think that is my problem. Its not there..

Re: 67 A108 shifter
I don't have a parts manual. It would be something that the vintage parts places would have, if anyone. Chrysler has been through 2 major re-orgs and the part would have stopped being used after the last 3 on the tree.
