    Hey Twinpilot,

What types of Transmissions have you used this on, or have you only used it on the th400? Do you have a picture of one that's installed, or the directions that you can scan and post?

Instead of wiring this through the brake I might try this one from B&M.

b&m trans kickdown switch Empty automatic trannys & some info & history

    Post by Twinpilot001 Sun May 15, 2011 9:11 am

sorry I dont have any pics or info - email B&M - they will have it avail I do believe - also can search A1, rossi, and some of the older tranny builders for it & info. The switch is only for 400's and not any cable kickdown trannys = all the electric lickdown type solenoid trannys can use it. The one you have pic'd above is for the lockup type converters trannys - not on 400's. Also -to my limited knowledge -50 years now =most all lockup converters are changing to non-lockup types - just due to ease of conversion & operations. Or those that still want the lockup type and a better way to have the converter stay locked up=ie: saving fuel & performance . The B&M tranny group has been around since the late 50's and made their name in the early 60's building the (NOW) old GM 4 speed automatics ( B&M Hydro stick)- I acquired a new one in early 70's - a supercharged model and the literature with it stated - it was guarenteed for 100 full throttle runs - thats behind a Blown supercharged motor!! I even remember when "ED PINK" built blown hemis and when one was purchased he be there with the customer to tune it for the 1st 3 races!! Talk about customer service & satisfaction!!
