thanks, this is not what we normally work on but is becoming a very fun project.

Currently in the shop we have a 1968 Dodge Charger, 1969 Mustang Mach 1, 1967 Pontiac Convertible, 1967 Datsun Roadster, 1968 Impala Wagon, 1963 Impala 2dr, 1962 GMC swb P/U, and a 1941 Chrysler Coupe.

It's cool to have so many different toys to play with, and that doesn't even include our own fleet of projects.

You can buy mine for $2500, its for sale.

kevin, it sounds like you already have a small fortune in this. i wont waste a lot of your time but would like a rough idea of price. 1) as it sits, 2) painted and all the parts chucked in the back, 3) complete. i wont hold you to anything on such a vague description, just want to see if we are evan in the same ballpark. when i started looking, i didnt relize what these things cost, i am quite aware of what it costs to have all that work done by a shop. throw out some numbers, worst i can do is say no.

mountainkowboy," IF" i decided to buy one and paint it, yours would be perfect if it wasnt for shipping costs. give some more details, how solid/any putty, what motor and trans, mechanical condition, etc. how is the rest of the paint (not the white doors) honestly, i was looking for something closer to home and shiny paint, maybe a little something in interior but yours is close enough (description, not distance) i am interested, but still looking for the perfect van in my area.

It can be found here. My 65 Handi

On an added note, the paint is for the most part gone.It will need to be painted, not to be a downer but dont expect to find a "shiny" driver thats in good condition for under 5K. One thats "moderized" will be more depending on whats been done to it. Ester is a solid 1st gen driver, basically stock with an upgraded drivetrain and a few other upgrades. Like chrome bumpers, factory tinted windows, and I have "upgrade" parts too. 2 speed wiper stuff and some odd chrome stuff.

not a downer. if i didnt have a car in peices filling my garage, we would already be negotiating. in the end, i know painting it myself not only gives me a color i like, but i know where all the putty is. interior isnt a biggy, i preffer doing it myself but would pay a little more for something i can use now and refinish later. does $2500.00 include delivery? send me some pics: frame, engine, door bottoms and rockers. i will check on delivery costs.

I will get some more pics, there is no rust in the frame and no that does no include delivery. Shoot me an email, its easier to do pics that way.

Forgot to change that when I moved. Took some pics today and might be able to send them tonight. The camera has been acting up lately.

jrinaman, I don't want to get in front of anything you might be working out with Mountain Kowboy. I myself have been out to Kalifornia multiple times to buy rust free Mustangs, it's tough in the midwest to find solid cars of any kind.

However, I will talk with the customer and get some prices for you in different stages. I will say that he is not as deep as you might think, we both own shops so getting lower priced parts and labor is not too big of a deal.

It may take me a day or two to get back to you on this, it's 1am right now and I am waiting for paint to dry so I can spray another coat and go home.
Tomorrow I have to go buy a 1954 ford truck that is just too good of a deal to pass up, so that and the other b.s. will have me occupied for little while.

    talk to you soon

havent ruled anything out, but his sounds promising. i can paint, just dont want to right now. shipping would be the deal breaker. got some thinking to do over the next week. not sure what i am doing yet and wont stroke anyone around. if its no, i will at least say it here. whatever i buy, i will be here getting advice and showing progress. evan if i find solid body, good paint and in my area, i will still be adding or changing things.

No big, dont worry about it. We are a family here, if someone else has a closer/better deal go for it. Its not like I want to sell it, just have to many other things going on.

kevins is 800 miles, yours is 2400. neither is exactly what i want. yours could be with a coat of paint. i am definately considering yours, but concerned about shipping costs. if you was close, i would come with truck and towbar and make a deal. evan if i drove out and trailered it back, i would have a grand in fuel.
