my dad has a 66 econoline van was a 6 banger with a 3 speed we are changing it to a automatic the tranny is out of a 71 or 72 maverick the maverick was also a 6 banger motor the van has the real small drive line the drive line we will have to use is alot bigger the yoke on the van is alot smaller and also the u joints whay kind of yoke will fit the van rearend and except the bigger u joints what size of rearend is under the van? it is original we are going to haft to make a drive line we have the driveline cant figure out what yoke will fit this van rearend that takes the bigger u joints like the maverick would have the van has very small u joints are they another car or truck out there with this yoke that we need anybody ever been down this road my dad changed a 62 econoline van over this way 30 years ago but cant remember what he used any help would be greatley appreciated thanks

More info needed,what motor do you have,what motor is the trans from,better yet,post your VIN tag info(all 3 lines off the tag on the drivers door edge) and that will tell me what it was originally and if it hasnt been messed with where to turn next.

tim the maverick breather says 120 horsepower on the sticker i would think a 170 or 200 motor but dont know for sure. dont have the motor any more the van has about the same either a 170 or 200 i would say but i have got all the numbers for you they are first line f16ah861 804 second line 190 h e160 489 g07 third line 3650 129 4000 51 there is all the numbers from the tag thanks for youre help jamie
