Side Mount Headers

I plan on running a set of side mount headers with side pipes. I would like the style where the header tubes and collectors to come out like the Hooker Corvette side pipes.

Does anyone know if the Corvette Side Mount headers will work on a 1st Gen Chev? If not, what were they running back in the day?

I'm not interested in the fake header tubes with the "look" of true side mount headers. I will make the side pipe/baffle part, I just need the headers.

This is what I'm talking about with the 4" collector and side pipe. I sold the car before I got a chance to check fitment...

Hey Roman- I had a set just like that on my 68 vette- were an aftermarket set. Ive seen some later on a few vans . Id bet theyre still made- would be somewhat expensive. Ill look in some of the van sites .

Yeah I have been looking everywhere. Mine were also aftermarket Hookers and yes they still do make them for Vettes. I've seen a lot of falsies with one main exhaust tube and the rest of the individual tubes are just for looks.

do u also have the step that comes out when u open the door/? Mine does & the side pipes wont work there i think??
