Just found the site and hopping to get some info from those that know. I really like
The looks of these vans and want to build one into a four wheel drive.
Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated. My name is BoB and I am a licensed mechanic/ fabricator on the side.

    Thanks for the welcomes

Looking to build a second generation.

The one thing I see being a problem is the rear driveshaft being
Too short. Or is the engine trans and t case moved forward on these conversions?

I am building this for my brother. Its kind of a tall order to fill. He curently drives a Delica,,,,which I hate, so I talked him into one of these COOL vans. It has to be 4X4 and get 25 plus miles to the gallon. It will be getting power windows, steering, brakes, heated seats, and maybe a/c. Not sure on the drivetrain yet, but I'm thinking turbo diesel, auto, rear locker, selectable front locker. We will just have to see how much he is willing to spend. I'm thinking around twenty thousand should be able to get it done.

I am also new to the site and interested in a 4x4 conversion of a gen 2 90".
There are lots of mid 80's blazers for sale here with 700R4 trans 4WD. Has anyone used a drive train from one and an OD trans?

well the search is on for a 66 no window for the build. I have all the 4X4 parts, just need to decide on the engine.
