by fountaincitychoppers Mon Oct 04, 2010 10:12 pmI recently picked up a 1963 falcon club wagon basically in parts, i am trying to install the gas tank and notice where the straps hang toward the front of the van but do not see where they bolt at the rear of the van.. if someone could please help it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

The rear straps are connected to the rear splash pan and held with ' J ' bolts. If you look at the rear pan there are two slots one on each side where you would mount a license plate if there was no bumper. the head of the ' J ' bolt attaches thru the slot and holds the strap via a nut and washer. Sorry I don't have a pic of it - Hope this helps
