    How Do you Idenify a Ford 9"" Inch Rear end ??? what do you Look for or what is Differnt on it ??? THANKS .....

    Simpliest way to tell the difference: the 9" does not have a bolt on cover on the back side.

    Thanks Carl .... SO if the Bolt pattern ... is in the front it's a 9 inch ??? No cover on the Back side !!!!

    Yep, provided it's got a factory installed differential.

    on a 9" theres no room for a socket on lower passenger side cover bolt if you can get a socket and wratchet on all the bolts its an 8"
