burn outs cost money Empty burn outs cost money

    Post by m1dadio Mon Aug 30, 2010 4:48 pm

After a couple burn outs I had a tire go wonky with a the tread bubbled up like a broken belt. So I had to get a pair of new tires this morning. At least with the addition of a standard rim I now have a spare tire.

burn outs cost money Dscn1411Just in time too cuz I had a dyno appoiontment at 11am. That turned out well too, we finally got the fuel enrichment tables right. Now I have more power, no pinging and much smother running.
We also changed up the torque converter engagment and unlock map so now that works at the right times as well.

All in all much driving inprovments but I'm down $600.
Thats just the way it is!!

My 17 year old sons priorities are 16 year old girls, 17 year old girls and 18 year old girls. Not nessesarily in that particular order.

he also likes Karate, education and vidio games. He's not much for vehicles but he likes watching me fix the van and then go break it again.

Burnouts are awesome and its totally worth it wasting tires. Throw down sick smokey burnouts as much as possible and always post video on vintage-vans.com!!!

If you get a good still photo with lots of smoke you should send it in to Car Craft magazine and I'll bet they will print it. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Your van is killer, one of the nicest 1st gens anywhere. I could have sworn I saw you driving in Seattle Saturday night about 9:30pm near the space needle

I wish I had more money for burn outs but I'm broke!

I spent most my money on wisky and crazy womens, the rest I just plain wasted.

Next time you are down here, I will give you a pair of 235/60r15 tires for doing burnouts with. I have several other spare tires/rims that came with my parts van that I will donate for the cause. The tires are old but still hold air so you can just smoke em at will! We can pour bleach on them to make extra smoke (it works good and looks cool). It would so awesome to get an early chevy van in Car Craft's burnout section. I think you should install a line lock in your front brake line so you can throw down the serious drag race style smokies.
