I know Im gonna have to put a clutch in the Magic Bus soon.. been shopping locally found the kit at advance auto parts.. around $120... Alot of places cant even get it. Carquest wants nearly $300 for the kit lol! ...I told them I didn't want a transmission too..

Im just kinda throwing it out there in case anybody has a line on a part # or a good deal on one..

My van originally came with a 170 but was upgraded to a 200.. so Im guessing its the stock clutch. Anybody know what size they used? 10" 9" ?

If it's the same as the one in the kid's '63 (with a 170), it's a 8.5" with a stepped flywheel. All the ones I bought were wrong, so I wound up "reconditioning" it myself. I bought a NOS disc on Ebay some time ago, but until the kid sells the van, I'm keeping it.

The 8 1/2 comes up on EBay once in awhile. Someone recently found a set up at Green Sales in OH.

I found this guy local to St Louis Mo...however I get the feeling that he ships alot of stuff...He quoted me around $120 for all the pieces...throwout bearing, pressure plate, disc , pilot bushing and resurfacing the flywheel...Im defiinitely going to see him when I get mine torn down and know for sure what size I have..Sounded like a real nice guy on the phone and very helpful.. Im guessing thats mostly what they do..rebuild clutches.
