Has anyone done it or tried it. Or recommend it. I want to get a good base down on the van to keep it tight and I know when I had my rhino lining done the stuff worked great. Thinking about doing that first before I install an interior. Any opinions out there. Thanks

Re: Rhino Lining the inside of a van
I used it on my cab of my 69 IH cab after I replaced the floors. Inside and underneith. It smelled for a couple of weeks after but nothing horrible. I did it over the winter and it seems to be holding up well. I used the stuff from NAPA 100$ a gallon, you need a special gun to spray it on with. The only negative thing I can forsee is any future welding repairs will be dam near impossible.

if you are thinking about doing this, id be certain that ive taken all precautions to prevent rust from forming under neath the lining. Id bring the floor all the way to bare metal and por 15 it.

Re: Rhino Lining the inside of a van
Does this spray on with a regular paint sprayer? At $130 a gallon I would want to make sure I had the right stuff apply it right the first time.
Thinking of doing this to the whole bottom side of my van once I get it cleaned off. Also spraying the whole inside then a closed cell spray foam to fill between the ribs.

Matt, maybe you've already went thru this thread,
https://vintage-vans.forumotion.com/t10108-what-do-you-think
Personally I have a thing about doing anything that might make it hard to do repairs in the event of a mishap. I don't think we reached any kind of a consensus, but theres alot of food for thought. JM2C

Re: Rhino Lining the inside of a van
Matt, I have sprayed the stuff before and it does not use the same paint sprayer as a home or auto, it uses a cheap undercoating sprayer. I think they are like $15 from harbor freight. and you’d need a air compressor.
the diy kits also allow for roll-on application.

Re: Rhino Lining the inside of a van
sorta like this
http://www.amazon.com/AES-Industries-627-UNDER-COATING-SPRAY/dp/B001KW1LS2
and you’d need the plastic jar that screws on. those are pretty much disposable as the stuff is super sticky.
