by delraydoug Sun Jul 11, 2010 8:18 ami was wondering what this is for. i have a vacum hose coming off the top of carb going down the back of doghouse and going into engine mount support near where the emergency brake cable goes threw. are they using this for a vaccum resevior ?

I was wondering the same thing yesterday! I believe it is a vent. Probably because if the high temeratures that exist in the doghouse, the vent line is brought to where air is cooler... I don't know. I think an explosion diagram of a Ford 1101 gave me that clue.
