I see that you can access more info on the vans than the falcon club..
for Econolines
ie..color and month made..
can you make a copy of the codes you have for the site?
Jim
Myself and Blue Lemon are moderators at the OldEconolines website. A guy there named Mark has all the data collected from owners and junkyard vehicles over the past 25 or so years comparing whats "real" with what the Ford books say. Mark actually decoded these for you guys. The recently deceased Don English originally had all the information and Mark agreed to help out by decoding VINs for us using Dons info and junk yard notes. I can decode VINs using a copy that Don sent me years ago but Mark can be more accurate since he has all of Don's notes to go along with it. Don English and Jay Long both of California collected a lot of info over many years pertaining to VIN's along with contributions from site members over the past 12 years. People like myself and others that own vehicles that are for certain known "originals" can add a lot of useful info since we know our vehicles are original as ordered from the factory. My 66 Falcon CCW van has been in the family since new(Grandpa's van) Im the 2nd owner and drove it more than he ever did. It's info like that that really helps fill in the gaps where the books have things listed incorrectly. The 65 shop manual in particular has a lot of errors in it.
When we report VIN data to Mark(previously Don) we always include a brief description of the whole vehicle such as color, pickup or van, window configuration, engine, trans, seat count and style, padded dash and glove box or not, side trim, floor mat colors, chrome or painted accessories, and anything else useful. That info has taught us a lot over the years.
