Just got off the phone with the gas station that was working on my van and all is good. It turned out the clip holding the float in the carb came loose so the fuel pump was flooding the carb. Looks like we'll make it to the show after all.

Oh I wouldn't say that. My van is in dire need of a restoration.
Looking forward to checking out all the vans this weekend!

Re: Baker's 2009
email I received...
Hello I met Gary at the car show in Port Austin. He has a 65 Dodge A-100. He told me about the gathering. We were the string band that played at the car show last weekend. My wife and I will bring our instruments to do a little Jammin. I have a 65 Ford Supervan.

Re: Baker's 2009
Hey Chris, any idea on what the count is? Last year was my first year going to Baker's and to say the least I was impressed. All the years I have been going to car shows this one takes the cake for good people and goodie bags!! Anyone who will be attending Baker's for the first time will be impressed. Looking forward to a good weekend hangin' out with you guys.

Re: Baker's 2009
This Bakers will be the 1 year mark since I really started tearing into my project. This show and this forum has kept my momentum and enthusiasim alive and well, I may not have a van ready for it this year but I might very well have 2 for the next. Fortunatley I am not so far away as not to be able to drive down just for the visit. See you guys there, and if Gotavan Dan is reading this , what time you heading down ? The missus and I would be more than willing to follow you there.

Re: Baker's 2009
I have to say this show seeing all your vans is a highlight for me. Pretty ones or projects I love them all. My only problem is when the show gets close the waiting kills me.

Re: Baker's 2009
My "camo" van is still butt ugly, but it is fun to drive. I put 60 miles on it today just to make sure I don't have any problems making the 20 miles up to baker's on Sunday. I've got it done enough to put the for sale signs in it so the next guy can paint it their color and do the interior the way they want it. I kinda hope it doesn't go until I get the pickup done so I still have one to drive.

Re: Baker's 2009
Just a few hours now. Everyone have a safe trip here. A front is coming threw tonite with a little rain from 4am to 8am then it moves out and a great cooler weather follows. Don't worry if you see clouds in the morning we will be there for sure.

Re: Baker's 2009
Well another Gathering in the books! Once again Baker's was an awesome show!!! I can't say enough how great this show is. Chris, Bill and Duane and who ever else is involved with putting this together you guys do a stand up job!! I have been going to car shows for years and there are a lot of people who put on shows who could learn a great deal from these guys. You guys need to have a class called "car show 101". Once again the goodie bags were worth their weight in gold! I can't say enough of how great a time I had at Baker's again this year. It was great seeing some old faces and meeting some new ones. I am already looking forward to next years!!! Great job guys!!!

Re: Baker's 2009
Ditto Hemi! Thanks not only to Chris and Duane, but also to Mike who made music CDs for all of us. The CDs not only had a great selection of music but they looked cool too!
