    Baker's 2009 Empty Baker's 2009

    Post by G-Man Fri Aug 29, 2008 6:47 pm

I know this is early to post this, but a few people have asked for next years date so they can get the time off work requests in early. Next year Rally @ Baker's will be on June 28, 2009. There is another reason to set the date early and I wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be the same date as Van Fest in Canada. For of respect for our Canadian brothers show I didn't want them to be on the same date.

I can't say what it is, but Hemi A100 and myself are working on a BIG surprize for next years rally.

The date for Vanfest has changed this year. I just found out from Kevin this weekend. The park has been booked for 3 years now for the usual Father's Day weekend, so it will now be June 12-14. Thought I better let you know right away. Both events have been very popular with the early vanners and it would be a shame to have to chose between them on the same weekend.

Good stuff GMan. I am sure the early guys that do both events as well as the Carlisle Ford show will appreciate a week off in between.

Here the sad part Virtual. Crying or Very sad I have all my weekends already planned for June. I was going to Van fest for sure, but the 13th of June is my youngest Grad party so look like I won't make it again.

Getting close to that time of year again and if your not on the 2009 Gathering of Earlys mailing list, here's pretty much all the info that you would have recieved if you were. I've also included a color flyer that can be printed out to pass out so you can spread the word about the 5th Annual Baker's of Milford Gathering of Earlys. For those of you recieving the flyers, you should be recieving the third and final flyer shortly.

This is a Bonus Giveaway this year. This is a free drawing for this used 6 cyl radiator from my 64. Since I won't be using it I thought one of my fellow vanners running a stock 6 can use it as a back up part.
