Re: 1966 g van has a new home
Thank you G-Man.....it was a bit of a chore getting it all together..just took it out for a 25 mile trip in stop and go traffic....probably gonna have to raise the idle up a tad...all else good, kept waiting for the remote fan to kick on....it never did, but when I jump the terminals it kicks right on...the lines feel real warm, but I don't think the tranny fluid temp hit 180....will keep an eye on it until I hear or see it come on just for piece of mind.

Re: 1966 g van has a new home
VB ....I used a drake performance trans cooler part number 13720...picked it up at summit racing..fan dimensions 4" x 11 1/2" overall size is 15 3/4" x 9 1/2..it has an 8 pass tube and fin setup. 650 cfm push or pull fan, I have it setup to pull from the top thru the fins. The thermostat is also derale, it is an inline that activates at 180 and turns off at 165 and connects directly to the -6 an fittings.

Re: 1966 g van has a new home
cool, thanks. I have been looking at the derales . The one I like is a 16 pass for oil and trans fluid with the same fan etc.
