I bet there isn't one of us who hasn't thought about moving the engine back. My thought would be doing it with an IRS set-up. You can can stick a large radiator with electric fans almost anywhere. I remember seeing it done in a van mag years ago. Maybe somebody has a lead on it. but you would only gain about 18 inches and still have a drive shaft hook up. Im curious if there are any other thoughts on this?

I really would like to see this on a driver, I've seen it on the strip, but never on something that street driven. The corvair vans with there bench seats have so much room up there

How about using a Toronado or Eldorado trans axle? That would give you rear IRS and then do a Mustang II setup in the front, it would be easy to slam that way.

drive shaft is not to long so moving a normal type engine back wont do to much - i think i recall someone either did or discussed a front wheel drive set up like a cad northstar transverse set up in the rear (like fiero mod) - maybe it was over at vcvc - that would mean some sort of hump in the back i would guess - oo3

Could you use the front axle from a 4x4 and just not use the rear axle?
Then you could move the engine way back with a long driveshaft. Could turn the engine around too.
