Re: What are you up to?
Yes, thinking some gravel, but van will be put off a little, so not all is win win. Gotta do some polishing of the interior and the house and garage. So some funds will be diverted from the van for a bit. Like I said I found a garage and it comes with a house too. toad

Re: What are you up to?
After things get settled it will be only better for your project. Sort of you have put money to the van. Just having a place to work on it and keep it stored is a big thing in the midwest

Yes, heated garage with hot water due to it having an apt over it. Storage and heat means I can work more in the winter instead of hibernate.

Re: What are you up to?
I got the econo truck running better not perfect just better. Then proceeded to drive it around the block where it is stored just for the hell of it. Nothing like a first ride in a vehicle you have owned for 2 months.

Re: What are you up to?
Went and retrieved a 63 Econoline pickup about an hour away today. Its one I tried for over 10 years to buy off an old man. It sat in his side yard and never moved. He finally died and the son said come and take it away and its yours for free. Had to put 4 tires on it and got 2 wheels free but the rears were froze solid. Its for parts only but well worth the FREE price and a few hours work to get it home. Has a rebuildable tailgate and a perfect roof which I need for a project of mine. Came home and started loading the trailer up with scrap metal. Tomorrow I ll finish cutting up 2 vans and make a big scrap run. Tuesday I hope to cut up and haul off a free van in a field after stripping it. I will have some helpers for that endeavor thankfully.

Re: What are you up to?
Yea free is good:-) I forgot the best part of the story. Since the wheels were locked up it would have been a real chore using a come-a-long to winch it up onto the trailer. Luckily the son(he was about 50) happened to own a track hoe so we hooked my tow strap to the pickup and to the hoe bucket and he used the bucket to pull it up onto the trailer. SWEET and effortless, all for free. Super nice guy too.
