Back Bench Placement Empty Back Bench Placement

Post by billski Sun Mar 28, 2010 11:10 am

Just uncovered the van yesterday and took it for a short drive. Yahoo! While sitting in it I come up with a question that has been bothering me since I purchased the van. The rear bench seat is bolted down in a position that is off-center. Was that normal placement or did the previous owner(s) bolt it there for some unknown reason? I don't have any pictures to verify original seat location. I'd like to center it but wondered if it's location is standard for any particular reason such as that's where the bolts didn't interfere with anything under the van. Thanks in advance. Billski

Is it bolted through the floor or are their plates with slots welded to the floor for bolts to slide in? How's the new trans working out? What about the Lokar shifter? Hope to see it all in June.

M1, Thanks for the picture. That explains why the seat is off-center. Guess I'll just leave it as is.
Wideload, The trans has had a couple shifting and leaking issues. As soon as the mechanic has time he's going to take it out and have it gone through again. As for the shifter - it's great! Love the way it looks and shifts. Hope to see you at Baker's as well.
