That sounds like a plan,,,,,,your tanks on a new core or even your tube tank on that new core. Anything is better than nothing,,,,,,,,,

So lets get down to the core of the matter,,,,,,,,I don't see how a human can build a core,,,,,,it looks complicated,,,,a bunch of plates and fins soldered together,,,,,,and the plates have a slot in them, about the size of a hacksaw blade,,,,,(now there is a REAL good reason to not use stop leak),,,,,,but it kind of looks like you slice off a hunk of core stock and solder the 2 tanks on it,,,,,,,,

Nice photos, Don! Really shows how they were put together. O question though, what happens on the other end? Somehow all the coolant goes down one half and back up the other. Is it just one can covering the other end? And the coolant just finds its way via pressure?

Re: Wont Be Drivin Ester for awhile.
The tank on the other side is that, just a tank, so that the coolant/fluid had to go the otherway.

Re: Wont Be Drivin Ester for awhile.
Thats right, the hose fitting side tank has 2 compartments, the pressure forces it down and the suction of the waterpump pulls it back up and out. So the bottom tank is open. So our next project is to find a heater core from something else that our hose fitting side tank will fit on and transfer it so we can make a good heater core for our vans,,,,,,,,,,or move to Florida,,,,,,,,
