64’ Wire Harness Empty 64’ Wire Harness

Post by StuartG Sat Dec 12, 2020 7:38 am

I need to upgrade and replace my fifty year old wiring for my
64’ g-10. Looking for a Company or p/n that sells all the wiring or harnesses I need from the fuse block to the tail lights. Any help would be much appreciated
    Thanks

Unfortunately, there are no kits specifically for our vans (that I'm aware of). I would recommend looking at Painless wiring....and other similar companies. A GM universal type (kit) will use similar (if not exact) colors and proper gauge wiring. A 60's GM pick-up kit, for instance, will/may be even more specific with included correct connectors depending on price-point. Ya gotta look around and see what you like and dislike. Make a list of x-tra circuits and features that you'd like in addition to what came stock. Think ahead

    Cooling fan?
    HEI?
    Internally regulated/One Wire/Higher Amp Alt?
    Robust sound system?
    Inverter?
    A/C?
    Hot tub?
    etc..etc

I got a Ron Francis GM Express kit...(to me) worth every penny.
Save everything from/off of old harness

There are only 5 or 6 wires going back to the rear? Up through the pillar and along driver's side of roof to interior lights,(hot wire) gas gauge sender, tail and license lights, 2 turn signal,(also are brake lights)
