    Same age as you...62.

It's just I remember (sort of) when I would go out in the garage and work until 2:00 or 3:00 am on a car project take a shower and be at work the next day (those were the days).

Now I am in bed by 10:00 and can barely drag my butt out of bed to make it to work on time.

If I were in my twenties or thirties the van would have been done six months ago and I would be out cruising in it until the sun was coming up.

Ah to be young and dumb again.

Progressing slowly, but I have been chipping away at it.

A few more pictures of progress so far, I think that I will be able to get a lot more done in the next 5 or 6 months.

    Thanks Dix...

No I put in a new ignition switch but have not put the key cylinder back in it yet, I have a piece of paper towel stuck in it to keep the dust out. The yellow push button on the dash is for a solenoid that will disconnect the battery power. So that the amp and other things won't drain the battery when it sits for a while.

This project has taken way too long to get to the state where I am now.

I have never had so many problems doing just simple things. I have to take it back to the paint shop to get the paint touched up where tools mysteriously slip out of my hand and scratch the paint. This is the same shop where the bracket that I spent 25 man hours making "walked away". Simple things that should take hours to do are taking days.

Other weird things are happening also, every time I walk by the van I get this twitching in my back pocket and when I open my wallet all the money's gone. I am starting to think the van is cursed. I am not sure if my next task is going to be prepping the inside for insulation or finding someone who can perform an exorcism.

Oh well until then I will just have to keep fighting and keep some garlic around my neck, or is that just for vampires, or zombies... I forget.

when you insulate try to let it ventilate so you don't trap moisture,, and don't use fiberglass

Going to use Lizard Skin spray in insulation.
