I think that would be fine. There's more room in the back, you can always roll the lip if you need to. So 3.75" it is?

Re: OEM Wheel Size
Well I was thinking about 3.75 in front, to bring them in just a little away from the front wheel well corner. Since I have the 3.5 already just get another to match it for the back.

Re: OEM Wheel Size
I got the chrome rings in the mail Friday so I painted the wheel same color as the Van and put it on the back to see how it looked. Not sure if I like same color or black better.
Also decided to just stick with the 3.5" back space all the way around.
New wider wheel in back, original wheel in front.

Re: OEM Wheel Size
Looks great! But you're going to want wider/deeper beauty rings imo, I have 2" on mine and wish I had 2.5" you could probably use 3" deep chevy rally rings.
If we're voting, I vote black, 60% gloss

Re: OEM Wheel Size
Your van is the exact same shade of 20 year old green hammerite as mine. At least in that light. How many windshield wipers you got?
Was it rattle can'd or rolled and tip'd? lol

Re: OEM Wheel Size
Wheel experiment is complete. Got all 4 rims... 15" x 7" with 3.5" back spacing, steel OEM look made by Wheel Vintiques. Tires 235/60 R15. Original dog dish center caps with 2" chrome rings. Rims painted Black won out over van color. Pretty happy with the look. Certainly gives it a beefier look I was aiming for.

Re: OEM Wheel Size
Thanks Ray and Seth. I'll let you know, but shouldn't be any problems since it clears in a sharp right turn with room to spare.

Re: OEM Wheel Size
Since I put the wider rims and tires on my van, it became evident that my rear axle might be bent. Looking at the van from behind it appears the wheels have a slight tilt in at the top. I took a square and the front wheels are straight up but the rears do slant in, both sides.
I'm going to take the van in and have an alignment check to see how far off they are, but I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences similar to this. I checked with a place here in town and they said they could straighten axles/housings, but I have a feeling they'd want them removed and maybe all the gears and axles taken out.
I'm thinking along the lines, If it ain't broke, don't fix, but it bugs me a little knowing there's a little tilt.

Re: OEM Wheel Size
Brent,
I had a '82 GMC pickup with the same problem. It was the result of a "high speed off road incident". The shop said it had 2 degrees negative camber. They were going to straighten it on a frame straightener while it was still assembled. I didn't have the money, so I put it off. I drove it another 50K miles before I traded it off. Never had a problem with it. I did have them straighten the front crossmember to take the negative camber out of front end, though. JM2C.

Re: OEM Wheel Size
Thanks for the info Jim. I'm going to check into the situation and see how much it's off and the fixin' process. I'll probably just drive as is as well.
