Hi all, I'm sure someone can give me some gas tank options for my '63 E-100 project. Any help will be welcome. Thanks...........John

Mustang, 1965-1973 if you move the filler neck and breather .. And adjust the strap length ..

Re: gas tank options for 1963 E100
This is a 19 gal 69 Mustang tank I just did. I removed the stock filler tube with heat from soldering torch. I welded a piece of flat metal over the hole with my Mig welded and sealed the weld with a bead of solder to be sure it didn't leak.
I used the vent from an old tank and drilled a hole in the top of the new tank. I bent a lip up with a small pair of channel locks giving me a flat surface to solder too. I didn't weld this as I felt the solder was plenty strong enough.
I installed the filler neck from the donor tank in the corner of the new tank. Once again I welded this in with my MIG and put a bead of solder over it to seal against leaks. Ideally it would be better to weld the fittings in with a TIG welded but I don't have on so I used what I do have. It works for me.
Duane.

Re: gas tank options for 1963 E100
I used the same process to replace the rusted out tank on my '65 E-pup. The Mustang tanks are easy to find and not expensive. The only caveat, you have to be careful on the placement of the filler neck so that it matches the position on your old tank. Not a lot of wiggle room if you get it wrong.... I also had to bend the "lip" of the new tank in a few places to make it fit properly. You can see the lip in question in Duane's last picture.
