So whatcha got planned for this year? Vanning season is just around the corner...

Especially for those living in colder climates (So Cal doesn't count with record breaking high temps in Feb), the weather is gonna get better! soon it will be time get your van out of the garage and on the road....

So what are you hoping to do this year?  work on it...  take a road trip...  attend any events (or should I say "eVANts")...  go camping/surfing/cruising...  what else?

Don't really know what happened last year, seems fate conspired against us, and we put only 1250 miles on our '72 Olds Cutlass convertible. We usually do 3 times that during our limited season.

This year, we also have a recently acquired '64 A100 pickup that promises to be a whole lotta fun and hopefully we'll put a whole lot more miles on it. She's not as pretty as the Olds- yet- but I'm working on that.

We have a series of car shows that we try to attend every summer, most of them within 100 miles of home, and the Street Legends Show and Cruise in Charlevoix, Mi., about 300 miles away. We're hoping for a full agenda this season, and I'd really like to take the Pup and show her off. Main holdups are paint and the missing curved corner glass. Anyone out there fabricate panels for those?

Im with ="Whale"! Garage?? Thats for tye "High Dollar Types!!" This year- i will be installing a larger gas tank, wiring & test firing the 383 chev I built. Also- have to start to paint the side window area white - so i can get all the new rubber window seals & glass installed. Then its off to next years plans to get 80% completed! in 2017.

Next month for the custom car show up in cleveland ohio we are parking
50 custom vans all together in the show , should be pretty cool hope the weather is in our favor

Gonna get my early out and put it to work haul my band's gear for another summer season of outdoor shows, we have over 30 already booked! I take great pleasure in using the van for this purpose! I'll squeeze in a few car shows and cruise nights in between too!

For a lot of us, recapturing our youth seems to be a part of owning one of these gems...Brings back fond memories!!! Making music and travelling in a Vintage Van...Living the Dream, Vantasia!
