    A100 Shocks Empty A100 Shocks

Post by polosteve Sat Feb 27, 2016 1:13 am

    Hi All,

Tried a search but didn't find much?

Can anybody recommend new shocks for an A108? - Links would be great to summit/ebay?

    - Are the fronts and rears the same or different?

Summit list these, are they any good?

    http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/mon-31131/reviews/

Also my van came with the top shock absorber bolt missing  Shocked
What size is it, where would be best to get another online?

    Rockauto.com  I looked at 1965 dodge a100
    Gabriel 81469/ $14.47 front
    Monroe 31131/ $14.88 front
    ACDelco 509612/ $28.79 front HD
the only rear listed was Gabriel 82065 (out of stock, good luck , but at least you've got some part numbers .)  the above fit 1964-1970 A100/A108 . fronts and rears are different. Also if look at the shocks that are on you vehicle. Most have a part number stamped into them.

I believe these are the rears? NAPA 94083, as my other receipt has for the fronts 94050, I think both numbers are for the "heavy duty" shocks. If you have the old ones, you can take them and have them measured for compressed and extended lengths and use a compatible shock, they have a X-reference chart, That's what they did at NAPA!

If you add 2" lift blocks to the rear for that 70s look I use front shocks in the rear as well as the front.

Gabriel 82065 (rear) is available on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Shock-Absorber-Classic-GABRIEL-82065-fits-53-60-Dodge-Truck-/261985310427?hash=item3cff8a96db:g:BQQAAOSwu4BVuatx&vxp=mtr

Ironically it's carried by Autozone's ebay store, but N/A through Autozone website..

BTW, Rock Auto lists Gabriel 81469 as a REAR shock. Might want to confirm the part numbers you ordered?

I need new shocks as well...
