    Jack Storage Empty Jack Storage

Post by uante Mon Oct 05, 2015 9:23 pm

Does anyone have a picture of how to properly store the bottle jack under the drivers seat? I have all the parts and hold down screw, but the orientation of all the pieces is a puzzle and I can't find my owners manual at the moment. I was thinking there might be a picture in it.

    Hey Duane,
Thanks for the picture, looks like one of the ones you tried to post didn't go through. Hard to tell what's up in the one that did except that it's stored standing. Doesn't that plate hold down the screw bar as well?

Don't know why you couldn't see it Brent. Shows fine for me. I reposted it anyway.

Yeah that was strange, it was on my work computer, but I see it now at home…both of them. Thanks for posting them.

Looks like yours is a little different than mine. Is the plate on yours part of the jack base? Mine's a separate piece.

Wow, that's the same wobbly jack my '74 Bronco came with back in the day!

Ok so here's a picture of my jack assy. Either the hold down plate is wrong or the jack is wrong. The plate will not fit over the jack so it's turned down "arms" grip and hold the jack. The jack also will not slide forward under the plate anymore because of its ridge and the jack will not fit under the plate in any other orientation.

I know I'm missing the lug nut wrench, but that shouldn't matter is the fit of these other pieces. Any body got a jack set up like this with a picture that shows proper stowage?
