OK, here's the deal. Have these 15" centerlines. I want to maintain the diameter (or very close) to that I have with my old 205/75R14's.

So, 215/65R15's will work. But, there's always a but...... I would like to put 195's on the front so I can still steer....
And here's my question: Keeping the above info in mind and Big fat white letters would make me happy. Does anyone know of a tire that has a strong enough sidewall in a 195 that will support the front end weight of a G10?

According to what I can find a 195 series will load to 1200-1300 lbs apiece, a pair of them will almost hold up the entire wieght of your van without people and stuff. ya sure ya want 195's they're pretty skinny? a 215 only has about 5-6 inches of actual tread on the road.

I just like the way they steer... (Easy). Had 215's and didn't like the feel. Maybe it's just that I have cheap 195's on it and they always appear low on air.... And the weight distro on the 66 G10 is 70/30, the 70% being on the front axle. If you have the counter weight over the gas tank it's still 60/40 but with the added weight the front axle load is still the same.

Yes, the tire size calculators can keep you busy for some time trying to find the perfect Frt/Rr set. But you learn alot about tire dia. while doing it..
