by softesttouch Sat May 09, 2015 5:12 amI have travelled to check out this 'restored' van, so have only today to look it over. don't know chances of scaring up mechanic on Saturday, so how about a checklist for me to go over. I have owned these 66 chevy's before, but not a running one for many years. I will check: leaks, magnet for bondo, no smoke when running, how it starts and runs, overall tightness when running/driving, lay underneath for signs of rusting, etc. I am quite familiar with these vans from the 30 years ago, but I am no more than a mediocre 'shade-tree' mechanic. i'll bet my list is missing many things. any help? thanks
