Is a steering column in a 66 g van different from 70 g van.

It will fit if you get the shift shaft all the way down to the steering box with it,,,,,,got to splice in the turn signal wiring,,,,,so you basically need everything up from that rubber boot on the floor,,,,

Thanks, Is the shift shaft on the top/outside the column like the 66 or did it change to a shift tube on the inside, like most are now.

it is still on the outside , but it dont come off the steering box like the 1st Gen ones,,,,,that whole shaft from the shift collar down is connected to the lever assembly under the van, on top of the steering box,,,,,,,but lets be sure we are talking about a 2nd Gen, 1967-70 van, not a 3rd Gen.....

Thanks again. Found a guy that had an auto trans column, but the way he explains it, it is a late one 3rd gen.
