The one thing i wished was still around was when you had a disagreement in school you could
go to the gym teacher put the boxing gloves on and settle in right there, to day every one would be in jail. on a lighter note how about the ho slot car tracks we had in our basements. and i still collect today. mostly the van tho,

Re: O/T I remember......
There was a street behind an industrial park that people would dump junk cars. I used to go there to get parts to keep my junk on the road. Cops didn't care if you were scavenging, as long as you weren't dumping the cars there.
I pulled a 350 out of one of those cars for my 69, surprsie surprise it had a rod knock....

Re: O/T I remember......
How about those little wax Coca-Cola bottles filled with juice and those little round candies filled with chocolate inside called "Sixlets" ? Or flipping for baseball cards in the schoolyard...Once a year at our elementary school, firemen would come with a firetruck, climb the ladder up to the roof of the school, and throw down all the balls that ended up there from recess. Kids went nuts trying to catch them before they could hit the ground! Good times, good times!!!

Man that sounds all too familiar.

Lieutenant Lunsford cut us a lot of well appreciated breaks.
