    Remember This Van? 65handi2a

Well, I went and did a complete "go-over" on the no-door today. Its just gunna require to much time, $$$, and fab work to get on the road for me right now. I dont have a garage yet and I dont like working on the ground if I dont have to. So I found this van last week and just got ff the phone with the lady. I commited to buying it and will be sending her a deposit this week. Its a runner/driver with new tires, radiator, and a host of other new parts. She converted it over to a powerglide auto from a stick and all the manual trans stuff comes with it. She has also replace the all the doors and she thinks she can get me the old ones too. I will be flying out in the next couple of weeks to drive her home.

Thanks for puttin up with all the turmoil and questions I've had over the weeks guys but.........................this one, baring the check is bad for the bucket, will be my van! A 65 Chevy Panel.

Congrats... have fun on the trip, and give it a good look-over before you head home... fluids may be old... take an emergency kit of premixed anitfreeze, motor oil, brake fluid... you know!

The camera is goin with me and I'm gunna stop at a quick lube or something and get an oil change before the trip. I will also go by an auto parts store for some stock in vital fluids and some other road supplies.

    Should be a blast!
