Goals
I hope to finish the suspension rebuild, replace the doghouse, and get the interior cleaned and painted. If time allows, and I can find one, an LS engine conversion too. A little ambitious, but I am hopeful. Lol.

Re: Goals this winter
millwright, I have a 5.3 ls in my 64, start looking for a rotted out chevy truck that way you get the motor, acc, harness. I build my own harness wasn't rocket science, just took some time

Re: Goals this winter
I am currently looking in the parts and repairable sections of the ole internet for a complete vehicle like you said. Gotta have the complete running vehicle for all the parts. The hunt is most of the fun.

Re: Goals this winter
Now that I'm working and commuting, I'll be lucky to get the fleet running and stay that way!
I'd like to prep all the 66 panel little parts for paint and plating.

Re: Goals this winter
millwright, I have had the best luck with chevy trucks 1/2 tons on craigslist with rotted frames. The last two I bought , I sold the trans , rear end, panels etc. I ended up with the motor and harness for free!!!!!!!. The one in my 64 I actually made money after the truck was parted out.

Re: Goals this winter
Hopefully, I'll be able to rebuild a rear spring perch (rotted out), rewire the van and convert front to disc brakes. Then I can finally drive this old girl! Followed by more rust repair on the rockers, etc.

Re: Goals this winter
Im planning on getting the heater box in, dash finished, seat belts installed, window fuzzies completed, and a cooling system makeover...woah, that sounds like a lot of work for a guy who has to be at a day job 40 hours a week!

I'm heading south for the winter. Heading to Australia & New Zealand south. I'm tired of winter and boycotting it this year. I may even find another VVanner down there.

Re: Goals this winter
I hope to get my interior ready, ignition switch and crap moved/dash rdy/3point belts, so I can go to town in the Spring on the paint. Front disc swap if I can round up the parts for less than a mint. I would also like to french in the Lic plate.
Oh, and find 2 more of these for under like 5 bills.....LOL
