My '65 has an oil bath air filter, it takes 1 quart of SAE 30 Smile

It was on the van when I got it but I replaced it with a standard air cleaner that was much lower profile. The worst thing for me, being in the deep south, is that the oil bath cleaner sat down around the carb. I have to be very careful here not to overheat the carb and percolate it so I set up the engine bay to get as much airflow as I can around the carb.

If I was in cooler climes where it wasn't such an issue I'd still run it.
