Stupid coil question... Empty Stupid coil question...

Hey guys. I just went through and replaced EVERYTHING on my '66 Econoline 240ci as far as gaskets and ignition is concerned. So, tonight, I'm putting everything back together and have run into a snag. I marked the positive wire for the coil BUT, because the previous owners sucked and didn't comprehend any kind of maintenance, everything was SUPER greasy. Well, low and behold, the marker I put on the positive coil wire fell off.

Does the wire from the points attach to the + or the - side of the coil?

I refered to my manual but it was vague as hell listing only the "D" and the "B" sides of the coil.

Can anyone give me a heads up? I'm thinking the distributor wire goes on the + side, but I'm not 100% sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Power goes to the pos side of the coil and the neg side goes to the distributor, or the points as you ask. If you had a tach. It would also connect to the negative side of the coil
