    Hey fellas,

    I finally want to add an original SECOND back seat to my van. My question is this...

    Will I have issues with the gas tank butting up to the seat belt mounts under the floor? I plan to tack weld them to one of the UPPER ribs in the floor. Will I have the same issue with the seat mounts. I want to tack a plate to the floor on the underside also. My plan is to have the mounts tacked so that when I don't have the seat in, I won't have any protusions in the floor.

    The tank is strapped tight to the floor, you can probably get away with what your thinking but I'd make sure the bottom of the bolt hole isn't open to prevent someone from running a long bolt into the tank.

    Don't the original seat mounts work off the top edge of the floor ribs and use T or carriage type bolts? Wouldn't have to go thru the floor that way?
