Econoline owner on the fly? Empty Econoline owner on the fly?

Post by coalnation Thu Mar 28, 2013 5:05 pm

So out of nowhere I had a trade offer for a 67 Econoline... Or is it the Ford Falcon Van? I need to know. Anyways, I've always been into old Volkswagens and when I was offered this I jumped all over it. Drove down to Jacksonville and then drove it back to Charleston with no problems at all. It was just a really slow drive. I'm sure I'll be on here looking for help at some point.

    Anyways, Hey! cheers

Wheels and hubcaps are not stock but the side step I believe only came on Falcons.

Looks like a nice Falcon to me. If it's a 67, it should have the dual master cylinder and the backup tailights as well. Looks like it's in pretty good shape too! Congrats on the new ride and welcome to VV!

The wheels and hub caps look like Fairlane wheels painted to match the body color with the blank dog dish caps. Same I have on my Mustang. Looks very nice.

I took one today to show it off on social media. It was on the Jacksonville Craigslist. I traded my 1990 Mitsubishi Mighty Max for it... I'm stoked. I'll take some pictures of the body and engine within the next couple of days. Seems to be pretty solid for the most part. There is some rust starting to develop in the rain gutters that I'm going to need to take care of soon. What is a good website for parts besides eBay?

Now I remember that van. It's the one they removed the turn signals from the front and put them into the headlight bezels. And I liked the way they tapered the lines coming off of the grill.

One pretty good source for Econoline parts is Mac's Antique Auto parts. http://macsautoparts.com/1961-1967-ford-econoline-parts/camid/ECO/ca/159/
