I have held off putting something in the back for sort of the same reason. My fold out cot fits pretty good lengthwise. These vans are our personal visions, I think making it comfortable for your use would be the way to go. The more comfortable the more you are likely to want to use it!

my plan is to have a 2 peice mattress. in my case, 35" each is plenty. the rear section is permanant, the front will store on top, but be able to bring forward when the seat is folded down. a mattress topper or heavy quilt should be enough to cover the seam between halves and can be laid across mattress and down front behind seat when not in use. i have detailed plans if anyone needs them but i am 5'7" and measurements would need to be altered for most people.

You'll have to drive around and see what looks good to you. And look for who you want to park with. I'm hoping to get there on Tuesday

if the pipe and roach clips are clean then there is nothing they can do, but they can take the van apart.

my stock air cleaner horn is 2 1/2'' i hade to make a adapter to tighten it up becouse its 3'' pipe, better if you can find a 2 1/2'' one, if you have a stock air cleaner that is.
