Gas Tank Vent Empty Gas Tank Vent

I cannot get more than 4-5 gallons of fuel into my tank. PO installed new fuel filler hose and replaced the vent hose, so they should be OK. I don't see any kinks in the vent line. It has to be a venting issue but what else should I check? (Tank is not damaged.) I did a search but didn't come up with anything helpful. Thanks!

X2 on the vent. My 62 looked OK but was caked up inside so I replaced it with a homemade one made out of 1/2 in. copper pipe. I just put 2 90s at the top to make the loop.

    Hey Southern man,

I just ran into the same problem with my Van! I have to basically trickle gas into when I'm trying to fill up. Did you end up replacing your Vent line??
    Thx
    Jes
