What was your first vehicle?

my first car was a 1968 chevy van 108" with a 250 3 on the tree.my dad bought it in 1980 and used it as a paint van.In 1984 I worked all summer for my dad painting houses and at the end of the summer he gave me the van and $100.I kept that van until 2002 when the body finally fell apart.It took me 8 long years to find another van,hopefully I will have this one evan longer.

Mine was a 1970 Maverick, dark blue , 200 6cyl.

I bought a 66 Chevy Sportvan when I was 15 years old for $300 from a hippie couple that had traveled the country in it. I had to save my paper route money for quite some time to buy it.

First that had more than 2 wheels was a 68 Chevy 108 panel van w/230 and 3 on the tree from a used car lot. Black with mags, I was stylin', except when the charging system wouldn't work (most of the time), and as long as I could keep tires and gas in it. Bought some cheap panelling and found some carpet and a couch.

The obvious answer to why I have vans again is trying to relive my youth, but it's more than that. I like the buy-in, the ease of repairs, the style and utility, and being a bit different.

My first ride was a 185 Yamaha endoro. At the same time, I got a 72 Dodge Charger with a 318. Great car with lots of space in it. Could also put a case of beer between the radiator and grill. Sold it after many years with 246,000 on it and still running. Wish I still had it, but don't we all have them feeling for one vehicle or another.
