question for the "A" guys

I see these ratty seats posted all the time. Why do they all ask $$$$ for them???

A-100 seats were also used in the Super Stock Dodge A990 drag cars because they were lightweight. In the cars they were mounted on aluminum frames. This is why junk seats cost so much just becuase of that association. To me it's a rip-off.

However the seats listed in this Ebay ad are NOT correct for Super Stock use.

....and they were used in the Thunderbolts too = the Dearborn Tube built FE 427 - '64 Ford Fairlane Super Stock dragcars.

Then we found, sort of by accident at the '03 Woodward Dream Cruise, that JC Whitless sells a NEW replacement seat for old Jeep CJ's that was so close to our A-100 & 108 seat it took a close inspection to tell the ever so slight/minor difference.
Made by BESTOP - PN#39335. Sold by Jegs and Summitt too.
