Re: What are you up to?
If he is going to be doing a lot of painting you should get him some kind of mask. My good friend that used to paint got poisoned from it and now he is buggered and can't paint anymore. But it sure is great to see him taking part in the build.

Re: What are you up to?
I agree -get that Respriator!1 I painted a few years = usually the 2 part polyurethanes & without a mask-finally bought a good one - when i quit painting finally =even with a mask was 6++ months before I could smell the roses again. Wont even get around paints now without one & be sure its a quality one too.

Re: What are you up to?
So I headed down to my favorite Pawn Shop to find some new coveralls and while waiting to pay I looked down and saw this box that was full of stuff that resembled a shotgun shell re-loader. So I pulled out the instruction manual and took a look.
Sometimes you just get lucky!!!!
Well my heart started racing a little, then a lot as I realized it was not only complete but brand spanking new! Never been assembled. All the parts, attachments, spare parts, Setup & Adjustment manual too. Plus another box with part of a Locksmiths course booklets and practice locks and spare test keys!!!
And the only thing I could think of was all those blank 1st Gen Chevy keys I have in my office desk!
It was marked $65 and the pawn shop was having a 15% off everything in the store sale!!! Just made my day!!!

Re: What are you up to?
Mounting an Oil Cooler, getting ready for another Texas summer. I'm doing all I can to get the heat out of the engine.
Here's the oil cooler I bought, thermostat starts the fan at 180 degrees.
I needed a way to mount it behind the battery. While rolling different ideas around I came across this in an old server rack at work.
A couple of days of cutting, bending, painting, and bolting, changed it into this.
I drilled a couple of holes in the frame, and threaded them, the other side I am using self tapping bolts.
I'll post some more pictures when it's mounted. I'll also post the Oil Filter bypass once I know what I have is going to work.

Re: What are you up to?
It's my day off, so I had plans to mount some 4" peeps on the Old Girl......but this is what I woke up to.
OMG, I parked the shovel last week. LOL
Luckily the Old Girl went back in here yesterday, warm and safe.
The light was green when I pulled up it was very hard to see.
This happened when I pulled up to a stop sign.....snow burst from my roof.
