Rebuild kit for one barrel carb.

Hi all,

Have a question. I have a 1963 Econoline pickup with the 144 engine and one barrel carb. Anyone know where to get a rebuild kit for the carbs?

First you need to identify which carb you have. Then you can check on the kit. depending on the carb, you may be able to pick it up or order it from you local parts store. If not dozens of carb kits are listed on Ebay every week.

Yes, that is the one except mine is missing the vent valve rod or did not come with one. I am looking for a rebuildable core if that vent valve rod is supposed to be on the carb. Or maybe someone has a parts carb. I could buy the vent valve rod and associated parts. I just bought this Econoline and it will run but it does not run well and I thought the first thing I would do is rebuild the carb. It runs ok at speed but not well at all when idling.

Those carbs came with different equipment and emissions systems. And they also used Holley and Carter carbs on them. But 1st thing on that bad idle is to make sure the points are adjusted and then spray some carb cleaner down the throat and see if the idle picks up,,,,,,,,and look down the carb and see if there is a lot of gas down there flooding out the engine.

The carb is not flooding as I need to leave the choke on to make it run. It is starving for fuel actually. No vacuum leaks. The carb is just not metering the fuel correctly and I do know now that that vent rod is supposed to be on all of the Autolite 1100 carbs.

Anyone have a rebuildable core they are interested in selling?
